Eight denier is close to the practical floor for a knitted leg. Held up to the light the yarn is visible as separate courses rather than a surface, and the leg underneath reads essentially unchanged.

Because the yarn is this fine, the elastane content is lower than everywhere else in the range. The leg holds its shape less firmly and pulls on more easily. Both of those follow from the same fact.

Snagging

At 8D the yarn is fine and catches easily on rings, nails and rough seating. A tighter knit at 70D resists snagging better than at 8D, but no tights are snag-proof.
